Erotic , Sex , Porn and Boudoir

Boudoir Photography may be define as " a style of photography featuring intimate, romantic and sometimes erotic images of its subjects" . "intended for the private enjoyment of the subject and their romantic partners" . 

While this is how Wikipedia defines the term of boudoir photography I can agree to a certain extend to its definition, its the word Erotic that pop into our brains and scares us to death ! Erotic = Sex = Porn ,  or is it?  

Erotic is defined as "arousing or satisfying a sexual desire" .  Are  we satisfying a sexual desire when we decide to go for it and book a boudoir session ? Is Boudoir an erotic session that can turn into porn?  The answer is NO.   We are sexual beens , yes ,  its an important part of our lives , it defines us but It may not control us, there are other human experiences that enriches our lives here  on earth .  Owning our sexuality  and  sensuality is what separate us from the other species.  

Other than satisfying a sexual desire, Boudoir photography strives in giving back woman their power, their own identity , is  about losing boundaries , acceptance , self love , its claiming the freedom of loving your body  , knowing your a sensual bean and not been ashamed by it.   

While society has done its nasty deed as to rewire our brain as to what is beauty and what is the right size and how are we suppose to look and act , there are some of us trying to break free . 

I cannot speak for every boudoir photographer out there , I cannot speak for every experience a woman has had in her life. I can only say what is on my mind and my heart.  I can only speak of my goal as a Boudoir Photographer. 

I can define and explain what is Boudoir Photography for me and my style and approach to the kind of photography that scare a few.

My photography strives in freedom , allowing woman to be comfortable in their own skin, to be comfortable on who they are ,  empowering woman ,  self love , acceptance . Owning your sensuality without sexualizing.
